Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Loom mobile app ("Loom", "we") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Loom is operated by an independent developer. Questions: ademth22@gmail.com.
Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google, Apple, or email, we receive your name, email address, and (for Google) your profile picture. We use this only to create and identify your Loom account. We never receive your Google or Apple password.
Content you save
When you save something to Loom, we store the link and details about it that Loom fetches from the public web page, such as its title, description, thumbnail image, and creator name. We also store the collections, tags, favorites, and searches you create in the app.
What we don't collect
Loom does not use advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs, does not access your contacts, photos, or location, and does not read content from other apps except the link you explicitly share to Loom.
How we use information
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To store, sync, organize, and search the content you save.
- To respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
Google user data
Loom requests only basic Google profile information (name, email address, profile picture) to sign you in. Loom's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. This data is not shared with third parties or used for any purpose other than providing your Loom account.
Where your data is stored
Your account and saved content are stored with our infrastructure provider, Supabase, and are protected so that only your signed-in account can access your data. Data is encrypted in transit.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that run Loom for us (such as Supabase for hosting and Google or Apple for sign-in), or when required by law.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual items at any time, or delete your account from the Profile screen in the app, which removes your profile and saved content. To have your sign-in record removed as well, or for any other deletion request, email ademth22@gmail.com and we will complete it within 30 days.
Children
Loom is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
